Classis Lake Erie is committed to the care and inclusion of the church’s most vulnerable members. These include children and persons with disabilities. Our Safe Church/Disability Concerns Coordinator, Rev. Kendra Ettema, serves as a consultant for the congregations and ministries in our region. Kendra is available to provide guidance on how leaders and ministries can make their spaces safer and more accessible to all members and participants. She also helps churches create “safe church” and disability awareness policies and serves as a liaison between local ministries and the CRCNA’s offices of Safe Churches and Disabilities concerns.
